Ori Barto

Ori BartoOn Friday, March 28, Eustis High Theatre lost one our most dedicated and loyal members, Ori Barto.

Ori will be remembered by all of us at the theatre as the person who would perform any job necessary for the good of the show. He loved Theatre and began as a young boy at Bay Street Young Peoples Theater. Since he has been at EHS he was involved in every show and attended every work day and rehearsal. The Theatre became his high school family, where he was accepted as himself and for what he could contribute. On stage or backstage it did not matter to Ori, as long as he could contribute and be involved. As a 9th grader the theatre family mentored him. Recently he was mentoring other new students into the ways of the theatre.

His involvement with Eustis High did not stop at the theatre door. He could also be seen in the television department and on the morning news. The past couple of years he worked with Chef Rotz in the culinary arts department, arriving early in the day to assist in preparing the kitchen and daily offerings.

His smile, dedication and bad jokes of the day will be missed but we will always hold him in our hearts.
