Eustis High Theatre - The Unknown Facts
• EHS drama had an article in the December 2005 edition of Lake Magazine and is a member of the Mt. Dora Chamber of Commerce. It is also affiliated with the Eustis Chamber.
• Our mystery dinner theater at EHS raised over $2400 for the Food service Workers scholarship.
• Funddrama is exclusively an after school program performing at least 4 main shows per school year.
• A student has one week to memorize a 90-100 page script.
• Rehearsals are 2-3 hours per night, 5 days per week, for only 4 weeks, back stage crew work all rehearsals and an additional 12-16 hours for 2 Saturdays ....often for only 2 public performances.
• We do not teach any drama or theater.
• We teach the application of English, advertising, marketing, accounting, computer, art, algebra, physics, calculus, chemistry, social studies, geometry etc in a real life practical setting. We then invite the public in to view our outcome.
• Drama and theater students will typically score 10% higher on standardized tests (Presidents Commission for education)
• Drama and theater students are of all ability groups within our school (from ESE to National Merit scholarship winners)
• Ticket sales and business contributions cover all of the costs of a production. Even if a production does not make enough money the cost still has to be paid in advance.

Donations
We are always in need of support and donations.
One quick and easy way to donate to Eustis High Theatre is a Gift Card from Ace, Sears, The Home Depot, or Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse. A vast majority of items we use in the theatre are from these stores, from paint and lumber, to screws, tools, tape, and more. These companies have Gift Cards available in the stores as well as online, and are available in various denominations. You can easily pick one up the next time you are in your local store. You can place them in an envelope and send them to the address on our contact page, so we can use them for our next production. You can also drop them off at the box office when you attend our next production.
