these are tips that i've picked up over the years and auditions i've gone to.
first of all, have confidence. have confidence in your speaking, motions (something i need to work on), and just everything you do or say. of course there is such thing as too much confidence. if your givin a cold reading and you have NO clue what it's about just choose a direction and go with it. another thing is if you mess up... keep going. don't say "oh sorry, do you want me to start over", or "can i start over? i know i can do much better" just keep going and pretend like you never made the mistake at all. and thirdly have fun. even though auditions are sooo nerve racking, there is fun in it. so find it.
hope that helped...

*nods in agreement with joey* everything he said helps. he also told me that seems to help is to make sure to make eye contact with the person your audtitioning for. if your doing a monologue( i know i probably spelled that wrong) look at the audition person, not the floor. it shows that your confident in what your doing.

Yes yes yes...everything that Joey, and Julez said. Also another tip, when picking a monologue for your audition, try to pick a monologue that you know either corresponds with the play youre auditioning for, and also one that you know you can accomplish. If you're auditioning for the part of, let's say, a young popular school girl, you would NOT want to choose a monologue where you play the character of a heartbroken 80 year old, blind, homeless lady with amnesia. No no no no no :p Use common sense, and be as comfortable as you can. Don't be nervous during auditions...let the nerves fuel your acting. Trust me...it works :)

Like Joey said,
My most successful auditions are the one's I have fun in.
That's the biggest thing, become the character and have a blast with it.
